August 19-23:  Franklin County Fair: "Tractors, Dirt, and Muddy Shirts".  The perfect end to summer is a full schedule of fun and activities at the County Fair!  This year's event will feature a tractor pull, demolition derby, exhibits, contests, carnival rides, music, and pageants.  For more information please visit the fair website at www.franklincountytnfair.org.

August 31:  5th Annual Sunset Serenade at St. Marys Sewanee.  Get ready for an evening of great food, an award-winning musical lineup, and a breathtakinig view from the bluff at the this year's Sunset Serenade.  Tickets are $60 per person and include dinner, wine and beer with proceeds benefitting St Marys Sewanee: The Ayers Center for Spiritual Development.  Reservations are required, so please call (931) 598-5342 or register online at stmaryssewanee.org.
